Happy Release Day to Me! Xavier's Loving Arms by KT Grant

I'm over the moon to announce that Xavier's Loving Arms has been released! Originally today was supposed to be the official release day, but I was pleasantly surprised to see that it was available to purchase late yesterday afternoon. Xavier'v Loving Arms is the third book in my Sweet & Sinful series (For the Love of Mollie and The Claiming of Suzy).

Synopsis: Xavier Marks has the looks, great job, and more than enough money to throw around. The only thing missing is a woman by his side. He hasn’t had much luck in love since he caught his fiancée cheating on him, and isn’t too happy about his current bachelor status. But that may all change when a cute barista from a coffee shop catches his eye. Perhaps she can help him lick his wounds?

Life hasn’t always been too kind to Rebecca Price. With a grandmother suffering from dementia, and the threat of foreclosure on her childhood home, she may have no choice but to turn to a possessive ex-boyfriend who won’t settle for anything less than marriage. She hides a shameful secret that still threatens to destroy her. She’s ready to give up all hope when a suave, yet seemingly kind-hearted man enters her life and comes to her rescue.

Rebecca is wary of placing her trust in Xavier, who wants to be more than a shoulder for her to lean on. But as the two grow close, Rebecca’s guilt over her past discretions continue to haunt her. Xavier wants to show Rebecca that the one place she can feel whole and at peace is in his loving arms.

Already some early reviews have been pouring in...

Penny at Penelope's Romance Reviews gives Xavier's Loving Arms a A-/B+. "This book takes some very real and troubling issues, and handles them perfectly. The girl gets the guy and a happy ending. Every woman who has struggled with body issues or an eating disorder needs this message of hope."

Liza at Blogging at Liza: " As I’ve come to expect from KT Grant, Xavier and Becca are super hot together once they finally give in to their attraction. In fact, each time they make love, they are some of the steamiest scenes I’ve read."

This book has many coffee and wine mentions (Xavier loves a good cup of java and a nice glass of Merlot), some sexy ice cream sharing (Between Xavier and Becca that steams up the sheets, and makes them a tad messy) Snuggie loving (Becca loves her Snuggie and shows Xavier the awesome power of the blanket with sleeves), A Gumby cameo (I told you I was obsessed with Gumby. Thanks Carolyn!) and most importantly shows how the power of love from family and friends can heal a damaged soul.

Never been seen before sexy excerpt...

Xavier shut off all the lights and stripped down to his boxers. Becca sat on her bed wearing a scoop-neck, violet colored cotton nightgown that fell to her knees. She could have picked something sexier to wear or perhaps nothing at all, but when she’d held up her nightwear to show him, his eyes became glossy and the front of his boxers grew tight.

Music from a light rock station played from her stereo. A steaming mug of hot chocolate sat on her bedside table, and a box of vanilla and chocolate popsicles lay on the bed.

He sat next to her, took a sip of the chocolate, and passed her the mug. They shared the drink until it was empty. Then she opened the box and pulled out two pops, vanilla for her and chocolate for him.

“Too bad we don’t have real ice cream and sprinkles.” He tore open the wrapping, sucking the treat deep into his mouth.

She licked her lips when his tongue came out and swiped over the frozen treat. Remembering the way his tongue made her come from the night before, she trembled in anticipation for what was to follow. Leaving hers on the bed, she picked up the box of condoms from the bedside table and shook it.

“We have these and they’re the colors of sprinkles, but I don’t think they taste like them.”

Xavier continued to work away at his treat until nothing remained. He finished and reached into the box.

“Lie down on the bed,” he ordered, and took the wrapper off his second popsicle.

“Yes, sir,” she said in a husky voice. Keeping her eyes on the man who turned her on in ways she couldn’t explain, she lay back, available for him to use.

She continued watching him eat, growing hungrier by the second, but not for ice pops. Her eyes fluttered when he pressed his cool lips against hers. She moaned, lifting her one leg up around his hips and clasping him by the back of the head.

“Hmm…you taste sweet.” She smiled up at him, allowing him to lift the hem of her nightgown.

“Why don’t you take this off?” he suggested, and she complied.

She turned her head away. It had been too long since a man had seen her with no clothes on. She waited for him to say something, confused by his silence. His face hovered over her chest, and when his chilled mouth swallowed her breast, she gasped.

He circled the edge of her nipple with the pop and a cool drop fell on her breast. She hissed from the cold sting as the burn in between her legs amplified. Tiny huffs left her mouth and she arched her back in delight when he took her nipple between his teeth and sucked.

“Xavier….” She held his head to her, enthralled, while he licked and nipped. She wanted him to caress her, but he didn’t, only sliding that damned ice pop down her stomach.

Wondering what's going to happen next? You'll have to buy the book to find out! *evil laugh*.

Cover Alert: Xavier's Loving Arms by KT Grant

I'm very pleased to announce I've sold a fourth book to Decadent Publishing. This is the cover for Xavier's Loving Arms, a Contemporary Interracial Romance.

Synopsis: Xavier Marks has the looks, great job, and more than enough money to throw around. The only thing missing is a woman by his side. He hasn’t had much luck in love since he caught his fiancée cheating on him, and isn’t too happy about his current bachelor status. Xavier wants to show Rebecca that the one place she can feel whole and at peace is in his loving arms.

Xavier first appeared in The Claiming of Suzy, and the moment I created him, I knew he needed his own story to be told. Rebecca Price is a very special heroine to me because she's still recovering from years of suffering from an eating disorder, bulimia, to be exact. Xavier's Loving Arms is bit darker than For the Love of Mollie and The Claiming of Suzy and the longest book I've written to date. This is a full length novel.

There's also Snuggie, Gumby (Holla Carolyn!) mentions, and fun with chocolate and vanilla ice pops. *wiggles eyebrows*

Once I have a release date, I'll announce it everywhere.

For now, let me give you a short unedited excerpt...

Tonight would be all for her. She pressed a palm over her stomach, a warm fluttery feeling increased in between her legs. On her drive over, the throbbing intensified, and as she rubbed her thighs back and forth, she became damp. It had been so long since she felt that twinge—a feeling not necessarily unwelcomed.

With her arms at her sides and her head held high, she opened the door to the restaurant and walked in, scanning the room. Next to her was a stone wall with a small waterfall splashing into a pool with a blue and white title bottom. Sparkling coins lay at the bottom, and she reached into her coat pocket where she found a quarter.

“For good luck.” she whispered, flinging the coin into the pool.

A small number of people waited up front. Becca passed them and went into the bar off to the right. The bartender, a tall, black woman wearing a tight, black vest and red tie, with no shirt underneath, stood behind the bar talking to the only man sitting there. The attractive woman with the bee stung lips flirted with him and smiled as she held out a small piece of paper. Xavier sat there with his arm over the back of the chair and shook his head at her.

She admired Xavier who was dressed in tan slacks, and a long sleeved white shirt, rolled up under the elbows that really showed off his dark skin tone. But then the bimbo with her short, spiky hair, whose form fitting vest jerked up as she leaned over, showing her very flat stomach and belly button ring. Becca pulled of her coat, tugged her bodice down low to show off her chest and stomped over to the bar.

At least I have bigger boobs than she does. Becca smiled widely, especially when Xavier held up his hand and refused the paper.

She slid up beside him, placing her arm behind the back of his chair. “Hey there, handsome,” she said in a greeting, glowering at the bartender who suddenly lost her smile.

“Hey, baby.” Xavier got up from his chair, and didn’t give her a hug, but something else that gave her the shock of her life. He kissed her.

The moment Xavier’s mouth met hers, she grabbed hold of his arms. He didn’t just give her a welcome peck, but a full blown kiss where his tongue swiped over her lips.

Becca moaned softly as vertigo set in and her breasts began to throb painfully. He finally broke the kiss with one last sweep of his lips and rubbed his nose against hers.

“Hello there,” he whispered, and pulled her in for a hug.

Becca stayed in his embrace, her mind blank, as she tried to process what had just happened. The bartender shrugged her shoulders and walked away.

When Xavier finally released her, he gave her a pleased smile.

“Did you kiss me for the bartender’s benefit?” Becca asked, not certain she wanted to hear the answer.

Xavier grabbed his beer bottle and wrapped an arm around her waist. “I’ve wanted to kiss you for months, so don’t even think I kissed you for someone else’s benefit, but my own. The woman behind the bar started talking to me after I ordered my drink, and even though I mentioned I was meeting a beautiful lady for dinner, she kept flirting with me to the point she wanted to give me her number in case things didn’t work out with you.” Xavier rolled his eyes and moved her alongside him as they walked over to the hostess’s desk. “And when you appeared looking hot in your dress, I couldn’t stop myself. I hope you weren’t offended by my kiss.”

“Offended me? No, not at all. It just came as a surprise.” Please kiss me again until I can’t breathe. Becca hid her lusting by giving Xavier a soft pat on his back.

“That’s a relief. I know how much you dislike aggressive men. The one thing I hope I’d never do is scare you away.”

Becca’s heart melted over Xavier’s fear. He fiddled with the label on his bottle and glanced down at his feet. She wanted to wrap herself around him and give him a big hug, as well as some more kissing. If only he knew she had no desire to run away, but quite the opposite.
