Favorite book for January. Click here to read my review

Mho has received some book swag he wanted to share with everyone!

Crystal Cove is the 4th book in Lisa Kleypas' contemporary semi supernatural Friday Harbor series. This one just came out this week and from Mho hears, this is the steamiest and sexiest of all the books (some rope bondage was found when Mho flipped through. Very naughty!), plus there's a magical element like the other books in this series that Mho has been kind of meh about.

Opal Carew is well known for her erotic romance, and Illicit will be released from St. Martin's on February 26th. The heroine receives an invitation from an anonymous source who welcomes her to live out her most illicit fantasies. Poor Mho never gets any invitations like that!

Written in Red is the first book in The Others series by Anne Bishop, releasing on March 5th from NAL. This has vampires and shape shifters. Mho is interested in reading this one because he has enjoyed Anne's Black Jewels books immensely but he is still very very very bitter about the whole end to the Daemon and Jaenelle relationship that broke Mho's heart.

And there you have it! My books I read for January.

And just because this video cracks me up and will surely make you smile. Who knew a cat could be so chill while getting groomed via a vacuum?

I picked up Painted Faces because of all the good recs from a few sites :) I'm definitely looking forward to reading it. Touch of the Demon, OMG. What a hell of a book. I really enjoyed the direction that the series took.

I dnf'd Anne Barton's When She Was Wicked. I really thought the premise had potential (ie: the heroine doing a despicable thing) but the writing wasn't strong enough for me to continue on when I was bored and not liking any of the characters.
