For the first time I don't have any pictures of my massive TBR pile or TBR book shelves to show off because I cleaned house! I filled 5 boxes of books and have donated to Lupus and to my former high school's book sale this month. No one will find me smothered to death under a pile of books!

But somethings never change with Mho showing off his book haul...

Mho first met Alma Katsu at BEA last year and fell for her seductive ways with her debut novel, The Taker. The sequel, The Reckoning hits the shelves on June 19th. Some heavy reading here about the evils of falling in love with the wrong person.

Mho love this cover and anything to do with Edgar Allen Poe. Brittany Giffin is a debut YA author and Masque of the Red Death is a take on one of Poe's most famous stories. Plague and devastation sounds like fun time reading!

Mho is over the moon that he will be able to see Kate Cross next month at BEA! Did you know Kate is historical romance author, Kathryn Smith, Kate Locke adult Steampunk author and young adult author of everything Steampunk, Kady Cross? Talks about multiples author personalities. How does Kate keep them all straight? Heart of Brass is the first adult Steampunk romance from Kate.

Synopsis: Arden is an undercover agent for one of the most powerful organizations of this steam-powered world—the Wardens of the Realm, a group with extraordinary abilities, dedicated to protecting England against evil.

Arden Grey enjoys a life most women in 1898 London can’t even dream of: she has the social status, wealth, and independence of a countess. She also has the ability to witness the final moments of a murder victim’s life. But ever since the disappearance of her husband, Lucas, none of this means anything to her. Until one night, when Arden spies a man watching her—a man she recognizes as her missing husband.

He’s been ordered to assassinate Arden as retribution for her part in the killing of a Company agent. Luke remembers nothing of his life before The Company, a corrupt agency that has erased his memory. Even so, something prevents him from completing his assignment. There is something familiar about his lovely target, something that attracts him and fills him with dread. For he knows that if he doesn’t kill her, someone else will—and kill him as well.

How did your reading for April compare to mine and Mho's? Any recommendations we can add to our much smaller TBR pile?
