Book Spotlight Release: Head Rush by Carolyn Crane *Book Giveaway*

I've been waiting months and months to finally announce this. My pal Carolyn Crane has a new release this week and one everyone has been anxiously awaiting for.

Head Rush (The Disillusionists Trilogy #3) is out now from Samhain Publishing!

Synopsis: In an attempt to put her unhappy past behind her, Justine Jones throws herself into nursing school and planning her wedding to Otto Sanchez, the man of her dreams. But something is off. Random details aren’tadding up…and is it her imagination, or are her friends and fiancĂ© keeping secrets from her? And what’s with this strange sense of unease, and her odd new headaches?

Justine tries to stay upbeat as Midcity cowers under martial law, sleepwalking cannibals, and a mysterious rash of paranormal copycat violence, but her search for answers leads her into the most dangerous mindgame yet.

With the help of unlikely allies, including her paranoid dad and best frenemy Simon, Justine fights her ultimate foe…and unravels the most startling mystery of all.

I can remember back when Carolyn first announced her publishing this series. Where has the time gone? *sniff*

I also blame Carolyn, that wench for the bad Gumby fetish I have.

Some of you maybe wonder, WTF is up with KB and her Gumby love? That all she seems to mention on Twitter, everyday? The reason is because of the "cameo" Gumby" had in the second book, Double Cross. Gumby is in full force in Head Rush, so much so I wanted Justine to ride off in to the sunset with Gumby (she actually does) and forget about those two other hot guys who love her. (the main question is, which man does Justine ride off with, and do they have a problem sharing her with Gumby?)

Instead of a MMMMM, it's a GGGGGG!

Who needs Otto and Packard when you can have a lovable, bendable green fellow you can manipulate with a touch of a hand? (get it? haha)

In honor of the release of Head Rush, I have one copy to give away. In order to win, leave a comment here by Monday 12/12, telling me if you had a Gumby with super powers, what would you make him do? Or, if you could have any superpower to stop evil what would it be and why. This is open for anyone who enjoys reading ebooks.

Gumby "Jazz" hands!

I am so in :D Cos yes I want it but I would wait for the print, but if I can get an e-copy I sure want one.

Hm...something with books. Maybe he could duplicate books with his hands and I would get all the books I want

Can't say that I've ever imagined Gumby with super powers, but if he did have any, maybe it would be that he could stretch out like a shield to protect you.

I am sooooo excited about this book!

Hmm, I really like Gumby's bendy powers, so I'd love a superpowered flexible Gumby!

To stop evil, I would want the superpower to summon up visions like mirage of my enemies' worst fears. That way I can paralyze them with their own fear.

I imagine Gumby only being able to access his superpowers while in advanced yoga poses. Each pose could be for a different ability...but if you say he can only have one, I think he should sit in lotus position and project peaceful thoughts upon the enemy/villain.

A superpowered Gumby would be able to disarm anyone with laughter at his antics.

Great post, KB. I luff this book. No need to include me in the draw.

I'll plump for the power of invisibility - just cos I'm nosy.

I love this series so much! Cannot wait to read Head Rush!!!

My Gumby would be able to have the ability to stretch his body parts to long distances! So he could snatch the bad guy from far away or he could always stretch other body parts!

If I had a Gumby with super powers, I'd make him able to influence people to do the right thing, especially if they were evil - they'd have to stop their evil ways.

I would want my gumby to have mind control. That way he can stop people from doing things wrong or hurting someone. Please enter me in contest. I would love to read this series.

This book sounds awesome! My Super Gumby would be able to grow extra hands that could be used to contain the bad guys and subdue them with some Gumby love!!!

My superpower and gumby's would be the same super speed

My Gumby would work his mojo to bend a person's mind to his will. His mind-bending vibes would lead the person in his possession to which whichever conclusion or whatever destination he wants to reach.

Right now, Gumby wants a vanilla latte and a unlimited account at any bookstore. *works his mojo*

I have the book. Thanks for the fun Gumby blog. LOL

When I finished the second book there were much speculation about what a Gumby is with my friend. I would have never known about it if she hadn't shown me all the pictures lol.
If I had a Gumby with superpowers... the only thing that keeps popping in my head is that he would be stretchable like Reed Richards from fantastic four lol.

If I had super powers, I don't know about stopping evil but I would wear a pair protective glasses a cape and away away we go whooooose ;)

Thank you for the giveaway.

If I had a Gumby, he'd have the power of mind reading. That way, I could carry that little guy around with me everywhere I went, and he could report back to me later on all the evil goings-on in everyone's heads.
