Mho Fho Interviews the Cast of Hot Men from Jennifer Estep's Elemental Assassin Series *Contest*

Ever wonder what the characters from Jennifer Estep's Elemental Assassin series do off hours? Mho Fho has just been hired as a new report for the Ashland Trumpet and his first article is interviewing the three hot men from theses books.

Whenever Mho's involved, you know some wacky times are bound to happen...

Finn, Own and Xavier are at a table waiting for the new reporter for the Ashland Trumpet to arrive. They’re in a café drinking coffee as they wait. They’re in shock when they see a sheep come through the door and makes his way over to them…

Mho: Yo guys! Sorry, I’m late. I was busy having a little slap and tickle with a few of my in house ladies, if you catch my meaning *wink wink*. I’m Mho Fho, Ashland’s new ace reporter. Since I’m everything awesome and the first demon sheep ever to work for the paper, I was chosen to interview you three since you’re Ashland’s most eligible bachelors. Why don’t you tell me who you are and why the women of Ashland go crazy for you?

Finn: Um, okay. Demon sheep are apparently a new phenomenon in Ashland, but no worries. I’ll go first since I’m never one to turn down free publicity. *grins* My name is Finnegan Lane, and I’m an investment banker and a connoisseur of the finer things in life.

Owen: I’m Owen Grayson, an Ashland businessman.

Xavier: And I’m Xavier. In addition to being a cop, I also work part-time as the head of security at the Northern Aggression nightclub.

Finn: And just to clarify, I’m the one the women go crazy for. Not these other two. They’re mere amateurs when it comes to courting the ladies.

Owen rolls his eyes. Xavier lets out a disbelieving snort.

Mho: Well, if I was a female demon sheep or attracted to men, I’d hop right on your lap and say hello *winks specifically at Finn*.

Finn shrugs and not so modestly says: I tend to have that effect on people.

Owen snickers: And apparently demon sheep too.

Finn sniffs: You’re just jealous, Grayson.

Mho: Since you’re giving me sexy looks, Mr. Lane, why don’t we start with you? I heard you have a bad caffeine addiction. Is there any truth to that? By the way, that's a pretty neat mug you have there. *eyes mug jealously*

Finn's awesome Winnie the Pooh mug. It's so big that you can see Finn sitting behind it.

Finn: Just because I drink at least a pot of chicory coffee a day does not mean that I have an addiction. *grumbles and pulls his steaming cup of coffee a little closer*

Mho: Surree… *snorts* How do you take your coffee? I take mine ultra-sweet just like me. *grins and wiggles his tail* Mho fantasizes about having his own Winnie the Pooh mug like Finn's:

Finn: It depends on my mood. Not too sweet, though. I’m sweet enough as it is. *returns Mho’s grin with an even smarmier one of his own*

Mho: Enough about coffee. My top secret source tells me you’re bumping uglies with a hottie detective for the Ashland police department. *eyes Finn’s suit*. Do you ever wear jeans Mr. James Bond wannabe? I heard you have a bad suit fetish also.

Finn sniffs again and straightens his tie: Bad suit fetish? Hardly. These duds are designer all the way, baby. As for your other comment, I have been seen verbally sparring with a beautiful blond detective named Bria Coolidge. Bria claims that she’s just not into me, but we all know how much she secretly wants me. It won’t be too much longer before she finally admits how she really feels about me. No one can resist the charms of Finnegan Lane for long.

Owen and Xavier exchange an amused look.

Mho: Enough about you. It can’t all be about you now. So, Mr. Xavier, or is it just Xavier? My top secret source tells me you’re dating a vampire. What’s that like?

Xavier: It’s just Xavier, and yes, I’m seeing Roslyn Phillips, the vampire who runs the Northern Aggression nightclub. She’s beautiful, smart, funny, caring … Roslyn’s the best thing that’s ever happened to me.

Finn: You are totally whipped, man.

Xavier snorts: Like you’re not.

Mho: You also moonlight as a cop. Do you literally work while the moon is out? That must put a damper in your dating with a vampire.

Xavier: Actually, Roslyn and all the other vamps in Ashland can walk around in the sun just like everyone else can. But yeah, I work a lot of nights. There’s always some sort of trouble brewing in Ashland.

Mho: So, you don’t have a thing for Detective Bria Snow? Rumors are saying-

Finn glares at Xavier: He’d better not have a thing for Bria. I saw her first.

Xavier rolls his eyes: How many times do I have to tell you, Finn? Bria is my partner on the force and my friend. Nothing else. I love Roslyn.

Finn nods his head: Glad to hear it.

Mho: *Holds up hooves* Okay, chill out gentlemen, I’m just trying to get to the facts. How about we move on to Mr. Grayson here? Owen, if I can call you by your first name, you’re one mysterious dude. Tell me a secret about you that can help me sell papers.

Owen arches an eyebrow: A secret, huh? Well, few folks know that I started out working for a blacksmith on my way to building my own business empire.

Mho: My top secret source says you’re dating a BBQ joint owner called Gin Blanco. What’s the story with that? Are you only dating her for her cooking skills or perhaps something else? *wiggles eyebrows* I can only imagine what you two do with some BBQ sauce.

Owen laughs: Yes, I’m involved with Gin. It’s been interesting, dating someone in her, ah, line of work, but she’s an amazing woman – smart, strong, funny, sassy. And believe me when I tell you that Gin and I don’t need barbecue sauce to have a good time together.

Mho: You’re a very rich man. What’s one of your most expensive toys you’ve purchased recently?

Owen: I’d say the most expensive thing I bought recently was the silverstone metal that I used to make some, ah, cooking knives for Gin.

Finn snickers: Cooking knives. Right.

Mho: Hm, there seems to be something more here about this Gin lady. I’ll get back to here in a moment. But first, the juicy stuff. There’s been a great deal of problems in Ashland with rumors saying that alleged mob boss Mab Monroe is responsible for it all. How are each doing your part to keep Ashland safe?

Finn: I, of course, have been keeping my ears open and my cell phone charged up so all my spies, snitches, and other contacts can send me all the details about who’s doing what these days in the Ashland underworld.

Owen: I’m just trying to take care of Gin. She’s been through a lot lately, and she’s really pushing herself. I’m trying to help her take it easy, at least for a little while longer.

Xavier: Man, I’ve been pulling double shifts like crazy trying to keep up with all the crime. I’m just hoping it slows down, and Bria and I get a break sometime soon.

Mho: *goes through notes* My top secret source tells me to ask more about Gin Blanco. What gives with her? I hear she’s not your typical restaurant owner.

Finn, Owen, and Xavier exchange a look.

Finn smiles: Actually, Mho, why don’t you tell us a little bit about yourself? Like who gave you this assignment in the first place? And why he told you to ask so many questions about Gin? I thought it was just us guys were being profiled as the most eligible bachelors in Ashland. Or do you have something else up your sleeve? Or rather, hidden in your mustache? Love the ‘stache, by the way.

Mho: *twirls ‘stache and winks* Thanks cuties. I’m an open book, nothing sketchy about me.

And sorry fellas, my top secret source will never be known. *glances at Owen* So, how do you feel knowing that your BBQ honey bunny may have been more than friendly with former Ashland detective Donovan Caine? Perhaps Gin hasn’t gotten over him yet. Hmmm?

Owen: Donovan is out of Gin’s life, and good riddance, I say. He never appreciated her for the strong, smart woman she is. I’ve been more than happy to help her move on.

Mho: Oh? So you’re not concerned that Gin may still have the hots for him? Maybe Donovan can speak for himself about his relationship with Gin?

*door opens and Donovan enters*

Xavier blinks.

Owen’s jaw tightens.

Finn sighs: Now, you’ve done it. Demon sheep, indeed.

Mho: *hops on seat excited for the sudden Jerry Springer like show scene*. Welcome back Donovan! Where have you been all this time?

Donovan: Well, I can’t really say too much, just that I’ve been working as a detective in another city.

Mho: How long are you staying? And are you going to hook up… ahem, catch up with any old friends, like say a BBQ joint owner?

Donovan frowns and looks around: Gin? Is she here? I’d like to talk to her …

Mho: *claps* This is all scandalous! I can’t wait to tell all my readers about this! *Looks at Owen*. Hey, Grayson, maybe you, Gin and Donovan and all get together one night and…*Mho jumps off seat as Owen tries to grab him* That’s my cue to bounce! Thanks for the interview, guys!

*Mho grabs Finn's massive Winnie the Pooh mug and scampers away before Owen can strangle him, but hides and watch Owen and Donovan confront one another. Mho waits to see what happens and if fists will fly between the two men*
