Yesterday, some of the commercials that will be aired tomorrow during the Super Bowl popped up in You Tube. Can you believe these spots now cost almost $3 million for 30 seconds?
The best commercial I've seen so far is for Volkswagen. The spot features a pint-sized Darth Vader who uses the Force when he discovers the all-new 2012 Passat in the driveway.
Very adorable and sweet. I can see this one being a fan favorite. Almost 10 million have viewed this commercial on You Tube already. At 60 seconds, this cost Volkswagen a cool $6 million.

VW probably spent most of that money on getting the rights to the music and character. Love it!
That's what, $100000 a second? Very cute though!
I do love Super bowl commercials :)
O-M-G as a HUGE Star Wars fan (can we say I collect things -Ray Parks signed/framed autographed pic!!! one item) I roared with laughter at the end of this GREAT commercial. I could have easily been this kid! ROFLMAO
For me, the real winner of the commercial was the dad who was so willing to indulge his son and help him feel the Force. The dad's never going to tell his son what he did, but the kid, for quite some time, is going to be pretty damn amazed with himself. That's what real dads do, and if I were that dad's wife, he'd soooooo be getting lucky tonight!! Talk about a sexy man!
The commercials are the best part of the Super Bowl. Well, that and the beer. :P
I thought this was really clever and cute. What kid doesn't wish they could use the Force? ;-)
That was SO CUTE! And, Nifty, I totally agree with you! :D
