Have You Always Wondered... *Book WTFckery*

Why your cat may paint better than you do? I ponder this almost everyday when my two cats take time out of their day (to nap, poop, eat, play, destroy things off my bedroom dresser) to paint their next masterpiece.

This is too good to wait for my weekly WTFckery post.

From Awful Library Books:

Yes, it is a real book. No joke.

Why Cats Paint: A Theory of Feline Aesthetics by Heather Busch, Burton Silver.

Synopsis: In 1994, WHY CATS PAINT took the art world and animal world by storm with its unprecedented photographic record of cat creativity. This seminal book in feline aesthetics is now offered in a new pocket-size edition, making it a purrfect gift for cat lovers and art lovers alike.

You think my cat art sucks? I will claw you to death!

(From now on when I have a KB rant post, this is the picture I'll show to denote my rage)

If not for Julie at Yummy Men, Kick Ass Chicks, I'd never know about Awful Library Books.

Actually my mom got me this book because I paint. She knew my humor and I thought it was too funny. I never got the impression they were serious in this book.

Aloha, Katie! You always bring a smile to my face! I volunteer at the Thrift Shop and base library. At both locations, I sort books for sale. It is amazing how many "fluffy" books I see in the donation bin (no pun intended). I am amazed how how much people waste on silly gifts for each other. Then again, I can remember when I was a child, my father would blow his cash on trinkets at the Hallmark store because he didn't know what to buy his family for Christmas. Considering how much is spent on wrapping and shipping, gift cards, personal checks, and cash is more economical and appreciated gift!

My father recently passed away from Alzhemiers ... so that is a precious memory I have of him.

Yes! Use that picture for your rants! It's awesome! I think that book is incredible, in a strange strange way. Actually, most books on that site make me wonder about the publishing world years ago. LOL
