Some nice future books releases for you to drool over...
I hardly ever mention self-published books, but when Fiction Vixen review this one on her blog yesterday, I knew I had to mention it here. Enlightened: Little Boy Lost by J.P Barnaby available now from CreateSpace.
Synopsis: Little Boy Lost is the story of Brian McAllister, the boy next door.
Brian goes to school, he does his homework, and he helps his foster parents around the house. Brian also has a secret. He is in love with his best friend. In Crayford, Alabama being in love with another boy is the worst kind of sin.
"His lips were warm and smooth as they moved over mine. It was everything that a boy's first kiss should be.
Only it wasn't with a girl."
- Brian McAllister
Maya Rodale fans can rejoice! Coming from Avon on June 29th. A Groom of One's Own.
But I, Miss Sophie Harlow, must confess to a secret infatuation with this "double duke" that can only lead to trouble. It is impossible that this notoriously upstanding gentleman would ever jilt his bride for a scandalous female newspaper writer. And yet...the arrival of a foreign prince, the discovery of a shocking secret, and one passionate kiss could change everything. Will this perfect duke risk the scandal of the year to marry the woman his heart desires?
There are only just three more weeks until the wedding…
Some hot contemporary romance from Victoria Dahl! Coming from HQN on July 1st.
Synopsis: Chloe Turner thought she was going to marry the perfect man-until her fiancé's plane crashed. And then she got the really bad news: he'd tried to fake his own death to avoid marrying her. Now America's most famous bridezilla (a tag she most definitely does not deserve), Chloe escapes to a remote island to avoid the paparazzi. And right next door is a man who just might be the cure
A magnet for wild, complicated women, Max Sullivan is relieved to have finally found someone "normal." Chloe is his girl-next-door fantasy come to life, and best of all, she gets him. With her, he can be himself, a treasure-hunting millionaire who desperately wants out of his sexy but reckless job. But when Chloe's notoriety catches up with them, will their torrid romance make it to the mainland?
I think this cat looks adorable. I would buy this book just based on the cover. Cleo: The Cat Who Mended a Family by Helen Brown coming from Citadel on August 31st.
Through happiness and heartbreak, changes and new beginnings, Cleo turned out to be the unlikely glue that affectionately held Helen’s family together. Rich in wisdom, wit, heart, and healing, here is the story of a cat with an extraordinary gift for knowing just where she was needed most.
Looks very Indiana Jones, don't you think? Warrior: The Blades of the Rose by Zoe Archer coming from Zebra on September 7th.
Synopsis: The vicious attack Capt. Gabriel Huntley witnesses in a dark alley sparks a chain of events that will take him to the ends of the Earth and beyond—where what is real and what is imagined become terribly confused. And frankly, Huntley couldn’t be more pleased. Intrigue, danger, and a beautiful woman in distress—just what he needs.
Raised thousands of miles from England, Thalia Burgess is no typical Victorian lady. A good thing, because a proper lady would have no hope of recovering the priceless magical artifact Thalia is after. Huntley’s assistance might come in handy, though she has to keep him in the dark. But this distractingly handsome soldier isn’t easy to deceive…
Spiritwalker by Kate Elliott coming from Orbit in September. Steampunk? Fantasy?
Synopsis: As they approach adulthood, Cat Barahal and her cousin Bee think they understand the society they live in and their place within it. At a select academy they study new airship technologies and the dawning Industrial Revolution, but magical forces still rule. Drawn into a labyrinth of politics involving blood and old feuds, Cat is betrayed by her family and forced to marry a powerful Cold Mage. As she is carried away to live a new life, fresh dangers threaten her every move and secrets form a language she cannot read. At least, not yet.

At Brynna’s side is Eran Redmond, a Chicago police officer who is fighting his undeniable attraction to her. Brynna would rather die, for eternity, than return to Hell or give up her quest. I have the song, Message in a Bottle stuck in my head for some reason when I see this cover. Matched by Allyson Condie. Coming from Dutton on November 30th.

Some shiny halo he's holding *wiggles eyebrows* Coming from Pocket on December 28th, My Fair Succubi, book 3 in Jill Myles' Succubus Dairies. The main question raised- Is that Noah or Zane on the
cover?
Synopsis: Six months have passed since Jackie Brighton’s New Orleans adventure and she is knee-deep in a university-sponsored archaeology dig in Mexico, finally letting things get back to normal—whatever that is. But with a surprise phone call from fellow succubus Remy, saying she’s lost her magic charm that keeps the evil spirit Joachim at bay—and a surprise visit from the Serim Council and Archangel Gabriel that leaves her and Noah under arrest—Jackie’s life spins out of control. Again.
With a plea bargain offer from the angel Ariel, Jackie doesn’t have many options: she can take the plea and save herself, she can wait to be sex-starved in punishment, or she can escape. Option three it is. But with her freedom comes even more drama, and now Jackie must find a way to stop Remy, save Noah, and trap Joachim once and for all.

The Bronwyn Scott is for the Harlequin Historical Undone line - which are digital, historical short story releases. They also tend to be a bit "spicier" than a regular ol' full-length HH novel. I've read several from the line, and have been enjoying them. They're quick, palate-cleansing reads that I can zip through on my lunch break :)
Dude, you may has ALL the covers you could ever want. :D
I love the look/sound of Matched. And you're right on both counts with Cold magic. Fantasy/steampunk. ;)
I'm also excited for Zoe Archer's new series. They did a great job on the covers and the books sound good to boot.
I love the "Warrior" cover, not just the guy but the red hot crimson colored background is great- love that color.
The "Matched" cover is disturbing and makes me feel like I can't breathe! lol I'm not liking that one. Too creepy in a trapped sort of way.
MsM
I'm sorry, did you say something after you put up that kitten picture?
Thank you KB! Oh I like the sound of Cold Magic and Cleo!
@Chris - LOL! It's the most adorable kitten and the book is now on my TBR list. Only 115 people ahead of me :(
