Carrie Lofty's Inspiration: The Video Interpretation (with Richard Armitage)

When Carrie Lofty asked  do a guest post here to promote her latest release, Scoundrel's Kiss (I all recommend you buy because it is a luscious  romance with a heroine who is an opium addict who tries to seduce the righteous, "I must abstain from sex" hero) she decided to come up with something different from the norm. Instead of posting a traditional interview, Carrie came up with video!

Here is where Carrie discusses the inspiration behind her hero in SCOUNDREL'S KISS, a medieval romance from Kensington, available now This is for all the fans of Richard Armitage and "North and South"!

Ladies, you will want to turn up the sound for this one.

And for old time sakes (because this is a great excuse) why not post the most romantic kissing scene ever in a movie? I give you the much beloved train scene from the movie North and South.

What are some of your favorite kissing scenes in books or movies? Do any of them even come close to the one in North and South?

I love love love Richard Armitage - but I find it kind of odd that Scoundrel's Kiss takes place around the time of Robin Hood (and RH actually figures into the last book), but your inspiration was Armitage as Thornton, not Armitage as Guy of Gisbourne from BBC's Robin Hood? He's like Thornton, only he wears all black leather, has longer hair, and has stubble. LOL.

That kiss is one of my favourites! :)

But if you're looking for classic kisses, how about a bit of 80s teen lovin'? (Yeah, I'm showing my age. *g*)

A day without Richard Armitage is...I have no idea. I've pretty much looked at Richard Armitage every day since I figured out who he was.

No, the kiss in North and South is one of the most passionate moments in television history. I adore that man.

I won't even admit how many times I kept "rewinding" back to the kiss in the rain in The Notebook. *SIGH*

I think it is one of the best romantic movies out there. It makes me laugh, cry, and be happily sad just thinking about it.
(my hubby needs to get home.. I want to be kissed NOW!!!) lol

Love it Carrie!!!

And OMG, I've never seen North and South and NOW I MUST. I was postively swooning. Another wonderful kiss is from Persuasion with Sally Hawkins and Rupert Penry-Johns. That's another swoon-worthy kiss.

Oh, definitely! Although I do like the scene from North & South :)

Nothing comes close.
I feel the appeal of this scene comes from the delicious build up over the whole movie from the rejection to the push-pull between Margaret and JT.
See, i saw the kiss on a YT video before seeing the movie and it did nothing for me...but after watching the movie i was a pool of drool.

I have never seen North & South, but I did love the kissing scene in the first Spiderman where he's hanging upside down... :)

Thanks to Katie for letting me come here and be silly. I suck at video producing and will obviously stick to books, but yay for something different ;)

And to those of you who haven't seen N&S, go do so! Now!

Great video, Carrie. Don't mind if I do hang out in your brain for a while LOL. I'm re-reading SK now and reveling again in the rich dialogue and push-pull between Ada and Gavriel. Awesome!

Spanish with a northern accent. Fantastic!

I can't think how many times I have either watched or listened to that final from North and South. It is probably my favourite screen kiss ever!
