I checked my Google Reader and I follow 260 blogs. The blogs range from book bloggers, Hollywood blogs that report television and movie news, book publishing blogs and the wild and wacky blogs that make me laugh and moan throughout the day.
Out of these blogs I follow, I give you my favorite 20 blogs (much like my top 20 books for 2009 I will post) I recommend you visit. These blogs really stuck out for me and keep me up to date on the news I mention in my blog in posts or fills my head with even more useless information I can shout out at parties or if there is an awkward silence during a date. These aren’t in any specific order:
1. Adventures in Katidom. How can I not mention my Kati #2? Her blog is a perfect place to discuss anything from books, movies and sports. Kati’s posts are insightful, engaging and she is also quirky.
2. Bits & Pieces. Ever wonder where I get the majority of my subjects for my Sunday WTFckery posts? Started by Jonco in 2002. He finds the most funny, amazing, interesting and sometimes WTF things on the internet. Pictures, videos, newspaper articles, you name it, Jonco will post it. His motto- “We scout the web so you don’t have to.”
3. Book Smugglers. Ana and Thea’s blog is one of the most professional and well put together ones out there. Their dedication and hard work cannot be compared to anyone running a blog today. If there is one blog, we bloggers should strive to be like, it is our friendly, adorable Book Smugglers.
6. Cute Overload. I am one of the 150,000 subscribers to his blog that makes you AWWW and faint from the abundance of cute animals and babies Meg, the Chief Citeologist posts daily. I let out a big squee when I was given the 2010 Cute Overload flip calendar they have out. Now you know where I find the majority of those so cute I want to die kitten videos.
7. Dear Author. DA has become a big influence and great place for discussion on the publishing world from book reviews, publishing commentary and everything you need to know about electronic media. Sometimes it gets a bit too down and dirty with the comments but it’s a place for people to come forward and give their opinions and say it loud and proud.
8. Deadline Hollywood Daily. Nikki Finke is incredibly snarky and so on point when it comes to the world of Hollywood. Her gossip and information is perfect and because of that, television and movie executives shake in their $500 shoes hoping they aren’t next to be posted on her blog.
9. Karen Knows Best. The only blog I know of where the owner Karen has a takes no prisoner attitude. She tells it like it is and if you disagree, you better have some evidence to back you up. And even if you do, Karen doesn’t care. Sometimes we need people like Karen to open her mouth and tells us like it is. She scares me as well as makes me laugh.
10. Kris N Good Books. Kris from Down Under makes me laugh so hard my stomach hurts. She is silly, fun loving and a bit disturbing. Her posts about sex acts in the romances she read, especially in MM books, will shock you in so many ways, but you will want to join in on the discussion. If you are having a very bad day, stop by Kris’s. She will welcome you with open arms, pat you on the head and have you find that smile you lost. Kris also makes sure everyone has a cookie. What type of cookie, you ask? Stop at her blog and you’ll see the luscious ones she posts.
11. Lurv Ala Mode. Kmont runs one of the best book blogs out there. She is a huge supporter of Fantasy, Paranormal and Young Adult books and her discussion posts really make you think. She is also a bit wacky and loves to read like I do. She is one of the blogs I look up to and one of the people I go for advice on books and life in general.
12. Monkey Bear Reviews. Sarah has a great way of reviewing books and loves the romance genre. I love her discussions, especially those about family and character relationships in the books she reads.
13. Moonlight to Twilight. Ms. Moonlight has a wonderful eccentric blog about her love of books, the best in WTFckery and her appreciation for the male body- she loves men flesh plain and simple!
14. My Milk Toof. The most adorable blog ever!! Inhae posts about the adventures of her two milk teef that will make you into a pile of gooey, precious mush.
15. Nose in a Book. Lisabea aka MM Romance author LB Gregg is the main reason I started reading Gay Romance. Her personality and love of life and dedication to her family is a wonderful thing to read.
16. Racy Romance Reviews. Jessica’s insight and knowledge amazes me. A professor who loves romances and looks at the world in a way I never have before.
17. Regretsy. Another go to blog for everything WTF in art, crafts and clothing. The picture of Bear and Naked Girl with Mittens says it all.
18. Reviews by Jessewave. The only blog I know of that exclusively discusses MM books, authors and movies. Jesse’s site has grown by leaps and bounds and has become a staple in the book blogging community.
19. Smexy Books. There are not many blogs that are centralized when it comes to talking and reviewing the romance genre. Mandi is one of them. In the short time she started blogging, she has become a go to blog for great reviews, promotion and just like me, she is proud of her Twilight fan addiction and doesn’t care. She talks about sex in a way that is respectable, fun and also at times very naughty.
20. The Trillionth Page. Author Carolyn Crane, who I fondly call CJ, has one of the smartest blogs out there. I feel a bit smarter after I finish reading a post by CJ. Sometimes I have no idea what she’s talking about and I may have to re-read her posts a few times to understand, but she is a great source of entertainment, knowledge and a wonderful human being.
And because I always have a spare…
21. Vault of Horror. B-Sol channels my inner horror movie fan geekiness. He isn’t just a fan of the horror world, but lives it, believes in it and finds such joy in it, much like I do with the romance genre. B-Sol is a pretty easy going guy who welcomes anyone to stop by and talk about the love of horror in books, movies and television.
These blogs mentioned are only a small list of the ones I visit on a day to day basis. If you click on the link on my sidebar where I have my blog roll, you’ll see all the other great blogs I will visit on any given day. The hard work that every person puts into their blog or website should be applauded no matter the amount of traffic or subscribers you have.
I stand up and cheer these 21 blogs that have given me great enjoyment and the other 200 + blogs I’ve read over the past year.
Because I’m limited in my space here, why not leave a comment and tell us what some of your favorite blogs are that you visited this year?

Some of these are new to me, but others I adore as well. Nice list!
Holly: You still lubs me right? If I post 30 blogs, BB would be on it.

Fantastic list of blogs KB...and there are some new-to-me blogs I need to visit :)
Aww thanks for the inclusion of KKB on your list. Although I'd hate to think I scared anybody:) OK, some people I don't mind scaring.
Mrs Giggles is a must-visit blog for me, I disagree with her as much as I agree, but I do find her entertaining.
