I have already decided on my top three favorite books and unless another book comes along and blows my mind away, these three will stay at their current standing. Can you figure out which three?
.
One very special book on this list hasn't been mentioned in any of my past books read posts. It is a not yet released mystery book and my number one favorite book for 2009.
.
How does your list compare to mine? What are some of your favorite books of 2009 that I have failed to mention?
.
.
Before I forget...
One book Mho Fho is anxious to read this year is Pride and Prejudice and Zombies by Seth Grahame-Smith. Our good friend Ana from The Book Smugglers sent it to us and recommended I give it a go even though I wasn't all gung ho on the idea. Darcy and Elizabeth fighting zombies? How could this work?
.
.
Mho heard that it takes place in the English countryside and assumes there must be Regency sheep involved some how. *KB smacks head*

Going to guess Branded by Fire which technically doesn't go on sale until Tuesday???
Nope. :P
That is almost a book a day! You are a madwoman!
I am guessing Demon Forged :D
Lisa T.
Yes, I wish I could read as much as you!!
I agree with all of yours (at least with what I have read) except Kiss of a Demon King.
I would add Bone Crossed by Patricia Briggs!!! You need to read that series!!
As Shadows Fade, Scandal, Lord Ian, Angels' Blood, Blue Diablo...
And I have read the new Singh, Chase, Quinn, or Duran but I know I will love them :)
Lots of catching up to do [I want me some Meljean!]. Have a review I've done for Blue D that I have languishing in my PC somewhere. Need to post that up.
What does happen in London, besides lots of rain? I'm still in denial there's actually a heat wave! The sunshine's so shocking.
Is it Jill Sorenson's Set the Dark on Fire!?
Just kidding. That was a bit of blatant self promo. Sorry!
I can't guess.
Jill: We still have another 6 months to go, so when I get my hands on it, perhaps it will be on the second half of 2009 list.
I really think I need to have a top 30 list. So many great books still to come!
I've only read a couple on your list! But, in my defense--I'm usually reading about a year behind new releases.
I'm still stuck at the top of this post and that cute kitten photo!

I envy you so much for having read Demon Forged. I am all green. Head to toes.
Great list!
And Oh, KingMhoFo you stud.
A not-yet-released mystery book...hmm. Is it on this list? If so, I'm guessing the Meljean Brook one as you gave it a perfect 'A' and Julia Quinn and Carolyn Jewel write historical romance. But I thought Meljean Brook wrote paranormal...
If it's not on this list and it's a mystery, perhaps Chelsea Cain's 'Evil at Heart' or the new Karin Slaughter? OK, I'm stumped.
Wow that's a lot of books! So far I've only read 77 books this year, it's also my first year blogging and keeping count so I don't have any other years to compare it to.
:o)
Wow! Ms. Katiebabs, you are too kind to include Practice Makes Perfect among your favorites for the first half of 2009. This made my day.
One of my personal favorites so far this year, that is also included in your list, would have to be Angels' Blood by Nalini Singh. It was my first paranormal (I know, where have I been?) and I was just blown away by the world she created.
Thanks again!
Julie
That's amazing! I wish I could read this fast, too. Not that I'm doing too bad either : so far, I've read "only" 73 books this year, which is usually what I read in a year!
Many of the titles on you're list are books I want to read.
156 books so far?! *dies* *dies again*
Wish I had your stamina lol! My sister's reading the zombie Jane Austen book and is loving it.
156! Wow! I would have to agree with much of your list (at least the one's I've read!). I think I would add Darkness Calls by Marjorie Liu. Just finished it and loved it.
I'm with Ana, am very very VERY green that you already got to read Demon Forged!
Mho: You need to behave so I can see you at RWA!
Some (a lot) of those books are still on my TBR shelf.
You forgot to mention Perfect Chemistry! Okay, I know you haven't read it, but you should. :)
That is one amazing number of books - the total and the ones in you top 20 list!
As for your mystery book...can I assume that if it is you favourite book to date then it received a very high grade? (Am trying to do this logically :)
Oh, and I picked up Branded By Fire yesterday. Ohhhh, it's good! And there are sightings of our favourite Psy *happy dance*
