2009 RWA Nationals- Day Two *Author Signing and Mho Gets Some Love*

Day 2 at 2009 RWA Nationals is yet another day of whirlwind fun. I was up by 7am ready to start the day. The one workshop I wanted to go to that wasn't an "official" one. It was the rogue workshop about epublishing at 8:30am headed by Angela James, executive editor of Samhain Publishing, Sarah from Smart Bitches, Jane from Dear Author and Kassia from Booksquare. Over 90 people sat in to hear all the information on why epublishing is so great for authors, both newbies and established ones.

I wrote three pages of notes that I hope to share in a post when I return home because I learned a great deal of information that will be benefical to those who are thinking about trying to publish with epublishers or are still on the fence because they think NY print pubs are the way to go.

Because I was up late the night before, I was seriously thinking about not going. It is a good thing I did because one lucky person who attended the talk had their chance to win a Sony ereader. And guess who won? ME!!!

Afterwards I went to the luncheon where bestselling author Linda Howard was the Keynote speaker. Her speech was beyond laugh out hilarious because she feels she comes from a family full of nuts. And because she comes from one and is still able to write, so can you!

What a fun filled outstanding day! And so ends day 2 of 09 RWA nationals! Tomorrow is full of more workshops, authors signings and the much anticipated dinner Kati and I have planned with a group of 20 people. And let's not forget the Harlequin party I hope to cras- erm attend.
